I have several questions here. First, I need to know if a dreamcast will be able to read a CDRW disk. Next, I want to know if Linux on a Dreamcast will be able to mount a cd iso9660 filesystem. As far as I can tell from the kernel source config, DC Linux doesn't seem to have a driver for the dreamcast cdrom drive. (or gdrom.. whaterver) Is it possible to run the kernel, the filesystem and all the other software directly off the cdr without any serial transfers? Is there a DC linux bootloader yet? Is it possible to read the raw data from the controller ports? What about using the modem? Does that work as a normal serial port, or does the modem need special drivers? |
