That also is our opinion here at the University/C3SL. But we need 
something stable as soon as possible because the system we developed for 
the public schools is shipping in a month or so. That's why we decided 
to adapt Xnest and are now working on Xephyr.

But modifying X to directly support multiple users is definitively in 
our plans as means of further development of the multiterminal solution. 
It just will take more time than we can afford right now.
If someone wants to do it, we'll appreciate !-)
