http://members.westnet.com.au/vanzeeland > common guys, > couldn't you patch it yourself? Just suggesting this is what I'd like to be trying out. Realtime preemption produced more rejects than I had time for last attempt. I am hoping this ruby-2.6.11-rc4-mm1-3 patch will prove less reject-full than previous attempts to get it happenning. I will be trying to - if I post it it's working. If I don't it isn't. Patching 2.6.10 with similar capabilities to the 2.6.9 series has also been troublesome. Latest test kernel (not posted to homepage) compiled fine, booted, but locked on entering init. Hence the relatively mundane but stable vz2 kernel is as far as I've taken it. Now that 2.6.11 is here, maybe this will be better, http://kerneltrap.org/node/4785 but it will likely be longer before .11 matches the complete patchset, so .10 may yet get another patch from me. I am happy to learn C better, but time is not always permitting. |
