About USB hub

Hi all,
 I want to know how usb hubs are used along with the "phys" descriptor.
I have a D-Link 7 port usb hub with me. and i have to connect two sets of
kbd mouse pairs to it. How can i do this.?
when i am connecting the usb hub to my system it shows as

I know there is a file /etc/hotplug/kbd.conf 
 but how can i specify the entries on it? 

USB 1-3:new USB hub found
hub 1-3:1.0:USB hub found
hub 1-3:1.0: 7 ports detected
and lsusb -t shows

Bus# 1
`-Dev# 1 Vendor 0x0000 Product ox0000
`-Dev# 6 Vendor 0x2001 Product oxf103

 
I am using Redhat linux 9.0 with p4 processor
