Hi! This: http://www.planetpenguin.de/manpage-1-vcstime.1.html describes vcstime. I am not sure what distro has it included. Debian does. It uses /dev/vcsa to access the attributes of the vc: http://fux0r.phathookups.com/unixmanpages/vcs.4.html The code is in the latest Bruby patches of 2.4.29 in /drivers/char/vc_screen.c to do all that but running vcstime causes a segfault. It actually works in 2.6.9 and its latest Ruby patch. I am looking for pointers on how to debug and fix this, since most of you have far more experience in this than I do. Thanks!
