When I start my 2nd X, I ought to be able to run KDE or Gnome to have a second user on the machine. But, I get error messages that the X server isn't allowing my client(KDE) to connnect, thus my 2nd X server is useless. How do I fix this? Also, I'm expirementing with virtual displays using the 'Virtual' keyword in my X config to make my screen larger. Do you know how to control where the viewport on the screen will initially appear when X starts? --- Aivils Stoss <Aiv...@un...> wrote: > > >But, when I start my second X server with the > startx1 > >command (modified version of startx to start my 2nd > >server), I get an error message: > > > >Xlib: connection to ":1.0" refused by server > >Xlib: Client is not authorized to connect to > server. > > IMHO You attemp kill fly with the cannon. > This project is created actualy for 2 separate X > servers.
