Yes, this is without framebuffers compiled in. When I compile 
framebuffers in I get a blank screen.

I had alsa compiled in and get "no soundcards found"
Then with OSS compiled in I get "/dev/audio no such device" and this is 
with a partition that runs OK on 2.4.21.
