linux console and force feedback on ifeel mice

I tried to use usb snoopy with my ifeel mouse,
however, when I install usb snoopy with my mouse, the
mouse refuses to work.  As soon as I unistall usb
snoopy on the device, it starts working again. I'm
not sure why.  If I have time later this week I may
look into it again.  Any Ideas?
