OK. I have a preliminary (i.e. it compiles but is untested) pm3fb
for ruby. the only change to mainstream ruby are in 

include/linux/fb.h (FB_ACCEL_3DLABS_PERMEDIA3 37)
drivers/video/Makefile
drivers/video/Config.in
drivers/video/fbmem.c

May I commit the changes to those files ?
