mixer devices for keyboard and/or event interfaces

Howdy.

If I added mixer devices for keyboard and (more usefully) event
interfaces to the input core, would the patch be accepted? If so, what
minor numbers should I use?

I'm altering a few legacy applications (one of which, being intended
for embedded applications, has little by way of a configuration
interface) to use the event interface.  Having a single file handler
to connect would make things far easier (removing issues such as
tracking changing minor numbers, accepting input from devices
connected during runtime, etc).
