No problem. The nice thing about keyboard using the same api (the input
api) is all keycodes are translated to struct event packets which are sent
to the console system. To the console system all keyboards look alike.

Yes it will. I have tested it out before. Same with PS/2 mice using a
Ps/2 to USB adapter.
