You are talking about userland management of access to the framebuffer.
This project doesn't really focus on this. Instead we are looking to make
fbcon and the console system leaner and meaner.

MS: (n) 1. A debilitating and surprisingly widespread affliction that
renders the sufferer barely able to perform the simplest task. 2. A disease.
