Anyone here a kernel configure expert. I just tested out the ruby tree with make config, make menuconfig, and make xconfig. The first two worked but make xconfig failed with [jsimmons@maxwell linux]$ make xconfig rm -f include/asm ( cd include ; ln -sf asm-i386 asm) make -C scripts kconfig.tk make[1]: Entering directory `/usr/src/linux-ruby/scripts' cat header.tk >> ./kconfig.tk ./tkparse < ../arch/i386/config.in >> kconfig.tk drivers/video/Config.in: 24: unknown command make[1]: *** [kconfig.tk] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/usr/src/linux-ruby/scripts' make: *** [xconfig] Error 2 Does anyone know a solution to this? Q: Why did they deprecate a.out support in linux? A: Because a nasty coff is bad for your elf.
