Synced with 2.4.0-test2

I just synced most of the tree with test2. The only files that need to be
updtaed are teh fbdev drivers now but I can leave them go for now as I
rewrite the console code first.

Q: Why did they deprecate a.out support in linux?
A: Because a nasty coff is bad for your elf.
