complete_change_console is called with the console_lock. The function
called when a VT switch happens is console_softint which takes the lock
and in turn calls change_console which then calls complete_change_console.
As for set_selection I don't see a lock taken. Here this function is
called by a ioctl via the tty layer.

Q: Why did they deprecate a.out support in linux?
A: Because a nasty coff is bad for your elf.
