>> I'd really like to know if you have XV working on all you heads with nice cpu usage... I just played a dvd simultaneously on two screens with ogle, pretty much the same cpu usage, about 30% with an Athlon 3000+. You get a really cool echo when you hit play on both screens just out of sync. Playing them one at a time, it almost seemed the pci card (not agp) has slightly lower cpu usage. These are with nvidia cards, a 5200 agp and a 4000 pci. You should try out our old live cd (the new one uses Xephyr, so no xv) to make sure it isn't your software. The old demo is available at http://ftp.open-sense.net/badger/groovix_badger_live_20051222.iso I don't remember right now if that old demo uses nv or nvidia drivers, but it can easily be switched and gdm restarted. If you want to do a fresh Ubuntu install, just run this one command after installing Ubuntu to turn your system into a Groovix multi-user system: wget groovix.com/support/ubuntu/dapper/groovix_setup.bash -O - | bash It could be some sort of software issue, or configuration -- are you using the same user settings on both displays? Are you sure both are using XV? -- Michael Pardee Open Sense Solutions LLC http://open-sense.com 888-323-1742 920-494-3222 |
