re: multi-seat games

[Open S. S. <in...@op...>]

We really don't focus on games, but we have used cube (
http://www.cubeengine.com/ ) in the past for demos, because it is very
fast and you can very easily start a server and have everyone connect
to localhost.   You can run around and shoot each other, but its very
basic.

Jean-Daniel:

The advanced release is on Debian.
So I figured out how to play and how to start the
dedicated server.

But how does each multi-seat player connect to it? The
setup wants an IP address.

All the IP addresses of the local machine  should work.
This includes 127.0.0.1 and any IP addresses the machine may also have
like multiple ethernet cards' and/or aliases.

I just tried FreeCiv, it allows logging into the same server even from
the same login on the same screen, server is on localhost, port 5555.
Just give different usernames for the different players.
