Hi team!

I had no trouble using the patch to gen the
kernel but installing the NVidia closed source
binary was different:

It could not find the kernel headers, which was
no problem with the 2.4.25 patch. After
specifying where those were it got unresolved
symbols.

So I am remaining with the 2.4.25 patch.

Hi team!

I spoke too soon. Lilo had failed and I booted a
different kernel. Of course the NVidia install
failed... Works like a charm now. Thanks!

    did you perform the compilation of nvidia's modules after having
    perfomed the make module_install of the kernel 2.4.26 and WHILE
    the 2.4.26 kernel was running ?
    nvidia's detection of current kernel header is a little bit demanding !

    I always boot the new kernel in single user once, there I build the
    nvidia modules, and then the following reboot is ok...
