Who has tried ruby on a PowerPPC?  

I have not tried Ruby on my PPC, but I would be happy to try it.
Something to worry about, though, is that the kernel for PowerPC is
still different enough from the official Linus kernel to potentially 
cause problems.

Right now I'm running -ac, and it works pretty well, but there are
also other branches like -benh that differ more.

I don't really feel like trying very experimental code on this machine,
but if someone has a clean patch, I'll try it.

I did :-)

But I notice that there was known problems with the serial
stuff that I _did_ use. So I'll need to try again with
2.4.14 as soon as I find some time...

Great :-) Which tree do you use?

As for me I can test ruby on the following devices:

ARM -> ipaq and a Assabet.

Mips -> Sigmarion, Pb1000 Alchemy board.

ix86

I also had a offer for access to a Parisc server and a Alpha.
