Hello developers. I am a member of coLinux(a kind of Linux on Windows) and working on KNOPPIX, an one CD Linux distribution also. And both project struggles with same problem ... shortage of memory. KNOPPIX must run without HDD. So it needs more cache buffer than usual but can not even use swap. coLinux has same problem. It stays on special area of Windows NT kernel memory. And it has limitation of size. I think one of the candidates of solution is your compressed caching. I want ask you three questions: 1. Is my idea useful? 2. You know any other solution? 3. You know anybody working on same thing for one CD Linux? Sorry for funny English. I hope you understand it. Okajima, Jun. President, Digitalinfra, Inc.
