my_isp is the name of your ISP ... :)

Or use the graphical (GTK) front-end for scripts ...

This message, indicate what: Only root execute the
script ...

Use the 'sudo' command. type:

sudo ./install
sudo ./linuxcall

Or, use the root login for this ...

Ok. After untar and unzip 'linuxcall-0.72.tar.gz'
file, run the install script. type:

./install

The instructions are in portuguese but, are intuitive
...

after run install script, run the 'linuxcall' script.
type:

./linuxcall

Add your ISP. Is intuitive wizard too ...

Now, untar and unBzip the file
'linuxcall-interface-gtk-en-0.7.14.tar.bz2'.

On the folder, simply type:

make

The executable is created. run it ... :)

./linuxcall 

Done.

Bom, como podem ver, my english isn't very good
mesmo!!! hehehehe

Agora concordo plenamente com o Alex, precisamos de
uma versão em inglês dos scripts ...
A(s) interface(s) já possue(m) versão em inglês, e a
versão em pure C do LinuxCall está toda sendo
desenvolvida em inglês (a versão em português, será
obtida através de um potfile (isso mesmo, a versão em
pure C está sendo internacionalizada desde o início))

Vamos lá pessoal, todo mundo agitando ... hurruuuu

discador está sendo alta. Bom, vou criar uma versão em ingles dos
scripts... vai ajudar bastante.. mas precisamos traduzir tb a
documentação, o site e tudo mais. Quero dizer que podem me mandar os

Hi,

all files are attached to this mail ...

The GTK+ interface is in english (fast and bad
trasnlation :)) but, the Shell Scripts are in
portuguese ... :-(

Installation:

First, install the scripts. 

unzip and untar the file 'linuxcall-0.72.tar.gz'
On the folder, type:
./Install 

The setup program (text-based) contain the
instructions (in portuguese) but, is very easy ... :P

After run 'Install' script, run the 'linuxcall' ...

./linuxcall

Again, all instructions on wizard are in portuguese
...
Add your ISP.

The LinuxCall is runing as root ... 'sudo' is
recommended. :)

Well, after install and configure the bash script, is
time of install the interface ! hehehehe

Simply untar and unBzip the file
'linuxcall-interface-gtk-en-0.7.14.tar.bz2'.
In the folder, simply type:

make

:). Done. If you on the X11, run the program:

./linuxcall

Re: CVS Trees, CVS Accounts, Home Directories, Shell SSH accounts

There have been a number of sync issues, mainly relating to the
migration to new hardware causing some scripts to require
rewriting.  This is hand in hand with some heavy server load
issues.  We are in the process of moving the database and core
SourceForge web systems to our new hardware hosted at Exodus, and
as all other systems rely on these core databases.  As these
systems are being migrated, we're cleaning up other systems in
their wake.  This has meant that many creation and modification
scripts are being run manually, so updates are currently
intermittent. We will keep you advised via news items on the
front page.  We're aware that this isn't the best situation - but
please bear with us for the next week.

Re: Statistics

  We're aware that a CVS and other project statistics may not be
working.  A new system is being developed to handle stats and
should be in place soon.  Basically, apologies that it's broken -
it isn't the highest priority right now, but it will be soon.

Re: Upload/File Release

  Please see the front page announcement.  Our upload server has
had a hardware failure, and although all data is mirrored offsite
to ftp2.sourceforge.net, however the file release system is
temporarily out of service.  We apologise for the downtime -
we're working to have an upload replacement as soon as possible.

First, excuse me if my english isn't very good.

My login in sourceforge is serialcoder, and I manage a
linuxcall project.

I encountered a difficulty to upload new files to add
new release.

Your instructions published here, says to upload the
files by ftp to upload.sourceforge.net, at incoming
directory.

The problem is: I can't find directory named
"incoming"... :(

I try login as anonymous, as serialcoder, by ssh, but I
cant find a way to upload new files to make a new
release.

Tive umas idéias legais sobre a implementação da
versão em pure C do LinuxCall e já estou pondo em
prática ... :)

Vai ser um misto de arkivos (infelizmente o pacote
terá tb alguns scripts, que iremos eliminando aos
poucos), mas será tão funcional quanto a atual versão
feita pelo Alex ... ;-)

Ah! A nova versão da(s) interface(s) já está(ão)
pronta(s) ... só tá faltando resolver umas últimas

[Linuxcall] Interfaces: novidades ... muitas

Eae pessoal ?

As novas versões das interfaces vão estar cheia de novidades ... algumas "invisíveis", como bug fixes, novo método de discagem, etc, agora outras são bem visíveis... hehehehe

A janela de configurações aumentou, incorporou mais funções e detalhes "cosméticos"... :)

A tecnologia de discagem agora se baseia em múltiplos processos ... isso pode ser verificado com um ps -aux quando o programa estiver discando ... :)

O arquivo de configurações agora fica armazenado no home do cara ... ~/.linuxcallrc

Espero que não tenhamos mais problemas como os que tivemos com o Djames e com o Davi ... :)

Hello Mrs,

First, excuse me if my english isn't very good.

My login in sourceforge is serialcoder, and I manage a
linuxcall project.

I encountered a difficulty to upload new files to add
new release.

Your instructions published here, says to upload the
files by ftp to upload.sourceforge.net, at incoming
directory.

The problem is: I can't find directory named
"incoming"... :(

I try login as anonymous, as serialcoder, by ssh, but I
cant find a way to upload new files to make a new
release.

Thanks in advance for some help.

[Linuxcall] CVS e RPM

Ae galera,

Seguinte, comecei a trabalhar com o cvs da sourceforge. Já coloquei o
modulo modem lá, e a partir de agora vou trabalhar sempre atualizando
lá.

André, Alex: como vocês estão em relação ao CVS? acham interessante
que eu crie os repositorios e suba a ultima versão da
interface/scripts? ou voces mesmo sobem?

André: perdi o contato contigo mano, como tão as coisas ai? 

Alex: os scripts tem rodado 100% no conectiva até agora. 

E pra voces dois: estou devendo as funçoes do modem ainda, mas não
esqueci não, vamos ver esse final de semana se elas saem duma vez. 

all: se quiserem fazer um teste com o cvs, seria legal. Se pintar
duvidas, me escrevam. se for preciso, preparo um tutorialzinho de
como usar/acessar/baixar os arquivos.

RPM: estou começando a mexer com construção de pacotes rpm la no
trampo. gostaria de empacotar o linuxcall em rpm em breve. Andre,
Alex, como estão as coisas? eu poderia fazer isso a partir das
ultimas versões que disponho, ou tem alguma atualização ja
implementada?


Já faz +- uma semana que a nossa lista tá parada. Como estão vocês?
Muita correria? Tá tudo bem? Posso não conhecê-los pessoalmente, mas
considero-os meus amigos, é estranho quando todo mundo some...

po, to meio injuriado hoje....

o problema é com a source forge....

fui atualizar o release dos scripts do alex pra 0.71 la na
sourceforge enão teve jeito....

tipo, tem que subir em upload.sourceforge.net, no diretorio incoming,
so que o diretorio incoming, simplesmente, não existe!!!

ô caraio, ô lugar, que foda isso....

o negocio comecou do seguinte:
* deu pau no micro do djames, fudeu tudo, entao ele me pediu pra
mandar o linuxcall d enovo para ele.
* em principio, taria na internet pra download.
mas...
* no site nosso não tem a versao script nova pra download ( e nem a
velha se não estou enganado)
* no sourceforge, tem a 0.7, fui tentar atualizar e não consegui.
* ainda bem que eu tinha no hd e passei pro djames;

Bom, foi isso ai que rolou, vamos ver se damos um jeito.

Sim, é por isso que eu estou imaginando maneiras de deixar a busca
mais inteligente.

Tipo:
* testa se existem os links /dev/mouse e /dev/modem;
  se existirem, já podem indicar alguma coisa
  deve-se prever que os links poderam estar errados ou quebrados;

* checa o /proc/......
  onde não tem uart, não deve procurar;

* checa o ps ax | grep gpm
  se tiver gpm rodando, é possivel identificar a porta
  usada pelo mouse, então, tb não procurará lá;

Cruza tudo isso, e tenta procurar apenas onde deve ser procurado.


A procura será feita nas portas "padrões" (ttyS0 a ttyS3).

Se for winmodem, isso pressupõe uma quebração de cabeça prévia do
usuário pra configurar o maledeto rwinmodem. As seções faq e links da
nossa hp poderão ajudar.

Cara, a solução era tão óbvia... :)

O problema todo se resumia no fscanf que não pegava o caracter depois da
string (o '\n') ... então vamos "forçar" para que ele pegue "oxente" ...
hehehe

Tipo:

gchar buffer[64], temp[100], control_ch;

fscanf (pipe_ptr, "%s%c", buffer, &control_ch);

Pronto!!! Depois é só analisar se o caractere depois da string é um \n e
tomar as medidas cabíveis... :P

Vejam só como ficou a get_messages:
