Hello, Everyone! A few updates. The latest version, 0.1.18, now implements Auto Tools for compiling and building the project. If you'd like to know more about our versioning system, see "versioning system" file in the docs directory of the project. For more information on the tools we're using see the following links: Autoconf http://www.gnu.org/software/autoconf/manual/ Automake http://www.gnu.org/software/automake/manual/ We will also be implementing "Check" - a unit testing framework for C for testing the project in each build. It is so we can monitor project functionality while development continues. More information on Check can be found at the following link: http://check.sourceforge.net/ If you'd like to help with this project, checkout a fresh version from the repository, or run 'svn update' from your command line to get the latest version. Current tasks are listed in the TODO file. If you find a task that you'd like to work on, put your name and email address next to the task, so we know someone is working on that one. The email address is there so we can communicate with you, if there are changes or updates that you may require. Once you've added your details to the task and saved the file, run "svn commit -m "Task Name Started". NOTE: Task Name in the commit message is the name of the task you've chosen. If you have any questions, ask them here. If you have recommendations or feature requests, let us know here as well. -- Happy Hacking, Tom Kaczocha Project Manager Linux Alarm Clock https://sourceforge.net/projects/linuxalarmclock/ |

Hello, Everyone! Revision 11 of Linux Alarm Clock is available for checkout. Please review the changes and familiarise yourself with the new structure. If you have any questions about compiling the project with Auto Tools, look into the INSTALL file. In the event that you still have questions, post them here on this list. Also review the project plan in the README file in the root directory. If you have any ideas that you would like to see implemented along with this design, or disagree with where we plan to go please let us know and explain why you believe as you do. -- Cheers, Tom Kaczocha Project Manager Linux Alarm Clock https://sourceforge.net/projects/linuxalarmclock/ |

Hello, Everyone! Linux Alarm Clock is back in full swing after a lengthy break. The new start calls for some changes and adjustments to the project structure to comply with GNU Standards. In the next few days, a new version will be available on sourceforge which you can checkout. The project will now use GNU Auto Tools for compiling the program. See INSTALL file for more information about the procedure. Also, see the README file in the trunk for more information about the direction and structure of the project. Also, over the next few days new tasks will also be available for development. Still have to decide how these tasks will be tracked most effectively. If you have any ideas, please post them here. In any case, stay tunned for more information. If after seeing the new project structure, you have questions or suggestions about the future direction of the project please post them here on this list. -- Cheers, Tom Kaczocha Project Manager Linux Alarm Clock https://sourceforge.net/projects/linuxalarmclock/ |
