#647 SBP2 problem

I have a regular Seagate drive (ATA, 40GB) closed in an
external enclosure with USB 2.0 and 1394 interfaces, model
number ME-720. I have no problems with it in WinXP, but it
won't run in Gentoo Linux.

Kernel version: 2.6.8-gentoo-r1
OHCI driver is used
/proc/bus/ieee1394 branch is unavailable (non-existent)
