#641 iPod - sbp2 login time-out

Hi,

I'm pretty much a newbie, so please excuse any stupidity :)

When I attach my ipod via firewire to my linux box I
get these messages:

ieee1394: Node added: ID:BUS[0-00:1023]

timed-out
sbp2: probe of 000a270002146788-0 failed with error -16

There are plenty of sites with people reporting this
error, but none with a solution.

I am using debian 2.6.6-1-k7. I haven't tried
recompiling using the latest drivers as I find the idea
slightly intimidating :) but if this is likely to solve
the problem then of course I will give it my best shot.

Any help much appriciated.
