#637 HD used to work with Kernel2.4.5 but not with the 2.6

I have a Firewire disk which used to work under the
2.4.5 Kernel.
I've install the 2.6.7 (and 2.6.5) and it doen't work
anymore. When I plug my device and type
"rescan-scsi-bus.sh" the query starts and I have those
messages :
scanning for device 0 0 1 0 (my device)
new : iee1394 new device: sbp2 : aborting sbp2 command
Inquiry 0 0 0 24 0
And then It loops forever with the other devices...
I'm running under a Debian with the kernels 2.6.5 and
2.6.7
