Or, which is cleaner, just use this object pointer to call a class
function (no friend declaration necessary).

I added:

void *raw1394_get_userdata(raw1394handle_t handle);
void raw1394_set_userdata(raw1394handle_t handle, void *data);

Should be in CVS by the time you read this.
