some success in decoding the DV data

Hi all,

I purchased a DV specification (SMPTE 314M-1999 from http://www.smpte.org , 
$34, comes as a PDF file) and I can now decode much of the subcode, video 
auxiliary and audio data in the DV data stream. Expect a new version of dvgrab 
in a week or so.

Before I spend a whole lot of time writing a video decoder -- did anybody here 
on this list tried that before?
