Broadcast 2000 and IEEE1394

Has anyone gotten the IEEE1394 to work in Broadcast 2000?  I am using the 
latest version.  I can capture fine using dvgrab, but I cannot get Broadcast 
2000 to work!

When trying to record/capture directly using Broadcast2000, I get a messed up 
picture wit lots of horizontial lines, but it is apparently a very distorted 
picture of the input because it changes related to what is being played.

When I try to append or load a dvgrab created .avi file, it adds it as 116 or 
so tracks of audio!

If there is a Broadcast2000 mailing list, please let me know.
