DVGrab... or Kino...

All,

Ok... I had no problems getting the linux1394 modules working and
detecting my SIIG card. Gscanbus can even tell when the Nikon D1 (anybody
else try using this?) is plugged in.

BUT, I don't have a clue as how to get dvgrab working. What would help me
understand how I should be trying to use dvgrab? 

Also, Kino doesn't compile on my Debian 2.2 system due to a complaint
about gnomeConf.sh missing. Would anybody have any hints on this? 

I haven't really looked into it... but I just wanted to ask. Hopefully, a
little poking around will help me solve this.

Lastly, as a sanity check... can I use the Nikon D1 as a video source? I'm
pretty sure that it can be used as such but I'd like to hear any comments.
