Problem Sony VAIO PCG-F801

Hi all,

I'm new to this list and I've got problems running 1394 drivers on my
Sony Notebook.

Environment:

Comuter: VAIO PCG-F801
OS:      Suse 7.0, Kernel 2.2.17 patched with the 1394 patch from
         sourceforge.net

Problem:

1. I can load the ieee1394, the raw1394 and the ohci1394 module 
   successfully. The kernel messages from the ohci-module seem to
   be ok, no error, no warning. I aligned the selfid-buffer to
   8192 bytes instead of 2048 bytes (see ohci.c) because I think there's
   a CXD3222-Chip in the notebook.

2. I use a firewire analyzer from Yokogawa to check the connected
   1394 nodes. 

3. If i boot my notebook with win98, the 1394 node is detected correctly,
   but if I boot linux and load the 1394 modules, i can't explore the config
   rom (some transmission error). The board id is and remains 0x00000000.

4. I tried kernel 2.4.0-test11 with the same results.

Any ideas ???
