Same with kernel 2.6.33.14 and its original firewire-core/-ohci drivers.

Another observation:  As expected, the PHY vendor/model IDs of the
camcorder cannot be queried by Clemens' lsfirewirephy.  This PHY is a
1394-1995 one which does not implement remote access/reply PHY packets.
