Hello All, Got my Dynalink IEEE1394 card yesterday. Using the instructions on sourceforge I compiled a new kernel and libraw etc. All worked straight out of the box so to speak. Hats off to the developers. I got dvgrab and xdvplay to grab and play a clip. Next step is editing of course. I've located some packkages which seem suitable but I am curious to know what editing software others would use and recommend. regards, Jan Rhebergen ---- web: http://www.rhebergen.org e-mail: ja...@rh... Most Linux user are using Broadcast 2000 at http://www.heroinewarrior.com/ or MainActor at http://www.mainactor.de/ Broadcast has builtin support for ieee1394 under Linux, but in general the program is rather unstable. I am using Broadcast--just started. I am not actively using it for production work. Eventually, I want to use it as a hobbyist and for home videos, but I am more interested in helping with the development of the product. First priority for me now is to get DV-encoded iso transmit working. I can't really do any production editing without that feature--I don't have any other output option besides what my camera provides.
