Do you have the drivers installed and working yet? Some of the Pinnacle
cards (DV300 I know) use Adaptec 5800 chip, which we dropped support
for.

There are not a lot of choices under Linux, and I believe we have listed
all of the worthwhile ones. In addition to dvgrab, Kino, and Broadcast
2000, you can split a video into frames and batch process them with
GIMP. Kino is for editing and preserving the quality of video. Broadcast
is for creating compressed MPEGs.
