I also see these messages in a specific scenario. My
setup is multi-master:
PC0 <-------> HD0 <-------> PC1
HD - OXFW911 bridge to ATA
PC0, PC1 - VIA OHCI controllers (also tried TI
TSB43AB21 OHCI controller in both PCs)
PC0: 2.4.19, ieee1394 rev 551
PC1: 2.4.18, ieee1394 rev 551
PC0 accesses sda1, PC1 accesses sda2. It is simple
to cause these errors to occur:
PC0: 'cat /dev/sda > /dev/null'
PC1: 'modprobe sbp2 sbp2_exclusive_login=0'
Traffic is flowing from the HD to PC0 and PC1 tries to
issue SBP2 commands, resulting in SBP errors about
80% of the time. (My setup actually has two sets of
OHCI cards and two identical harddrives. Notice how
one is detected properly, and the other has garbage for
the Vendor/Model):
