[linux-uvc-devel] Webcam black screen feed (04f2:b5c5)

Hello members of the group,

I have a problem with the integraged webcam on my Acer SF114-32 laptop.

When I open the webcam with any app (skype, qv4l2,etc) , I get a black screen.  It seems like the camera is recognized and the connection is made because  the green light on the camera module turns on at that moment, however no image.

I thought it was a hardware problem so I bought another camera module and I get the same result with the new module. This made me write to this group for help.

I am pretty certain I have tested the camera with linux when I bought it (and worked) but it has been a while and now I doubt the test might have been under Windows.
