[linux-uvc-devel] Webcam not working on Ubuntu 18.04

I have a usb webcam which is not on the supported list. It is not working.
My distro is Ubuntu 18.04, uname output is

Steps to reproduce
1. Connect the usb webcam. The device seems to be detected. It is a uvc
device.
2. Next dmesg (after enabling) traces, shows a bunch of errors.
3. Starting 'cheese' just hangs or does not detect the camera, Other apps
behave in the same fashion.

Attached is the dmesg with trace enabled and the lsusb output. Hope this
helps to find the problem and a fix.
