Hello!
The udftools 1.0.0b are missing some importaint features to work with UDF filesystems (like on DVD-RAMs or even on HDDs) in a reliable way.
It would be great to have tools like udffsck, dumpudffs and tuneudffs like there are for the Ext2/3(/4) filesystem (e2fsck, dumpe2fs and tune2fs).
There is a tool called wrudf but it has no parameters, help or any usable function as far as I could see.
Anyway, there are a lot of Unix/BSD/Linux/Solaris/*nix users out there who desperately need these functions.
- dump UDF filesystem information
- which version?
- which features are tuned on/in use?
- OS specific information
- tune UDF filesystems
- volume label
- turn on/off features (off only if not in use)
- maybe even uid/gid modifications
- OS specific stuff
- check and repair UDF filesystems
- check for validity
- repair broken entries
- UDF 2.50/2.60 support, 1st of all in mkudffs
THIS IS a feature request to complete UDF support within the udftools to finally make it more reliable (i.e. use udffsck on a broken UDF filesystem) and complete in every way.
Thank you,
