#23 UDF 0.9.7 Ver Patch problem

Hi ALL,

I am facing problem durring the re-kenal compilaton for
the UDF file system suppot.

I am using: OS- Redhat Linux 8.0
Kernal ver 2.4.18.

So, I am using the Optical drive, where there are some
data on it . I am trying to mount that device , so that
I can see the contents of the Optical drive.
I found that in the website Linux Kernal 2.4.X is
having Default UDF filesystem support . But I did not
found this.

When I say
mount -t udf /dev/sda /root/mo
It is giving the erro msg as --- Unknown file system.

Can I know the reson.

I even tryed by compiling the source available at
sourceforge.net ver Udf-0.9.7.tar
According to the steps given in the README file, First
two steps are done ok.
ie. 1. make udf.o
2. make install

But the problem is when I say

make patch

It will show the error, the patch is for 2.2.xand 2.3.x

what could be the reson.
