Welcome to the Linux OEM Appliances project!

This project provides optimized, pre-configured, and ready-to-deploy Virtual Machine appliances in the universal .ova (v1.0) format.

All appliances are built and exported using VMware Workstation with broad hardware compatibility in mind. Instead of spending hours configuring base systems, you can import and deploy these clean, standardized Linux environments instantly.

Hypervisor Compatibility:
- VMware Workstation (Windows/Linux)
- VMware Fusion (Intel-based Macs)
- Oracle VirtualBox (Windows/Linux/Mac)

Key Features:
- OEM Pre-Installation: Images boot directly into the official OEM setup wizard. Choose your own username, password, hostname, and locale settings upon the first boot.
- Up-to-Date: Regularly refreshed with latest stable packages.

Note: Old releases are consistently replaced by the newest builds to ensure security.

Features

  • Fully Pre-Configured: Ready-to-run .ova virtual appliances.
  • Universal Compatibility: Works on VMware, VirtualBox, and Fusion.
  • OEM Installation Mode: Sets up user and locale on first boot.
  • Hypervisor Optimized: Built for smooth desktop virtual hardware.
  • Up-to-Date Builds: Regularly updated with latest stable packages.
