Hi,
Thanks for the ntfs util! Once I get it working I'll be sure to buy you
that beer.
But...
when I get to the "Install" step (rpm -ihv .....), I get the following
error:
failed dependencies:
kernel=.4.22-1.2115.nptl is needed by kernel-ntfs-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl
I used your instructions carefully, and validated that I have:
cat /etc/redhat-release
Fedora Core release 1 (Yarrow)
uname -r =
2.4.22-1.2115.nptl
rpm -q --queryformat "%{ARCH}%\n" kernel
i686
And I downloaded the right RPM:
kernel-ntfs-2.4.22-1.2115.nptl.i686.rpm
Other info:
I'm trying to access ntfs on hda1 & hda2 which are XP, from fedora on hdb,
but the problems are happening before I even get there. The only wrinkle
might be that I know I physically have an new athlon chip, but fedora sees
it as i686, and trying the athlon rpm file didn't get past the failed
dependencies.
Thanks for any suggestions!
John
