Long ago I evaluated what influences the metadata-only size (compressing the image exactly by 'tar Sj...' is very important [so no gzip, etc]). I try to dig it up and summarize. For now, AFAIR, deleting files only really matters if you delete over several tens of thousands. Szaka |
