Hi,
I have a little Problem with your ntfs-driver.
I am using Red Hat 9 (Shark) with Kernelversion 2.4.20-8 on an athlon
based Computer.
I have a 60 Gigabyte Harddisk with multiple Partitions.(3 NTFS, one
ext2)
I do not know which versionstatus I downloaded but the file is called:
kernel-ntfs-2.4.20-8.athlon.rpm
My Problem is that everythings works fine as long as I am loged in as
root, but when I log in as my username the Disks are mounted but I can
not get some read rights.
I am mounting the disks by using the fstab with following line
/dev/hda1 /mnt/windows_c ntfs ro,users
I tried to change the Parameters of the Options to owner or killed the
ro - option, but there where no change.
the rights are always the following:
owner: root: read and execute
Group: root: no rights
everybody else: no rights
If I want to change the RW-Rights as root, Linux complains that the
mounted disks are read only, and no other read allowances can be
given.
I am not expirenced in Linux, so maybe there is a fault on my side but
I don't know what I can do now to get my read accesses.
thanks for looking in my problem
