Hi. I have been trying to use 'ntfsresize' to shrink an NTFS filesystem in
Windows XP. I am doing it from a bootable linux floppy disk. Everything
seems to work until I try to access my hard drive with 'ntfsresize'. I keep
getting this message:
Failed to check '/dev/hda1' mount state: No such file or directory.
I have made sure that my hard drive is hda1, so there shoulod be no problem
there. Fdisk can correctly identify the NTFS partition.
I have an IBM ThinkPad R40 laptop computer, running the home edition of
Windows XP.
Is this a bug of the program, or am I missing something? I would appreciate
a response.
