Anton, would you please consider a new NTFS driver release for 2.4.20?
There is also the mount problem fix on 64-bit archs waiting only in BK.
And I've seen this load_attribute_list bug with pagefile.sys, iso and
multimedia files. They are/were highly fragmented, maybe [partly] due to
P2P download softwares and P2P are getting very popular [or they are
already].
With a new driver release we could claim, no known problem with the latest
released NTFS-tng driver. I know Mandrake plan to update their driver
(statfs fix) and Gentoo is before release, probably others too ...
I've also noticed announcements (ntfsprogs 1.7.[01] and latest ntfs driver)
stopped to be delivered to the linux-ntfs-announce list. Is it a
SourceForge bug? Or nobody subscribed? I'd guess most people, especially
distro developers, interested in new ntfs releases are subscribed there. If
they ship old drivers we'll be flooded with already fixed issues, e.g.
like this compressed file one.
