I'd agree even if it had a man page. It's in a very flux state now:
usage, invocation, internals, functionality (what metadata to dump and/or
wipe) and some important FIXME's.
But maybe it's worth to note how to compile. From the top dir of ntfsprogs:
./configure
make install
cd ntfsprogs
make ntfsclone
[and the binary is in ".libs" directory]
The tar.bz2 snapshots from BitKeeper are at
http://linux-ntfs.sourceforge.net/snapshots/
