I don't think we need a development branch. The snapshots should be just
fine as far as developmental releases go and as far as BK is concerned
people interested in the stable releases can download the correct TAGged
version while people wanting the latest and greatest just download the
current version.
If you have any reasons for wanting two separate branches then please let
me know what they are...
