If I remember correctly just removing that sanity check should make things work, in theory. But yes, it *is* dangerous since although the relevant code is implemented to support this case, it was never tested because I've never met such volume. I'll create an NTFS volume with this special case and check if it works as expected ... unless somebody does before me and confirms it works ;) Szaka Hello, I am experiencing the same problems on a fresh installed Windows XP workstation with service pack 1. I tried to reinstall it several times, but I always come to this message. I also tried to force resizing, but the result is an unusable system - it tries to boot but suddenly it reboots and then it goes into safe mode, but it does not finish and reboots again and so on. I am using ntfsresize v1.7.0beta as posted on the web. Is CVS somehow different? Can I try some debug? I am able to run some test even they may crash Windows partition.
