That's a nice thought, but it's no use :-) We reverse-engineered all
our knowledge about NTFS long before ntfs.com existed. Also, a quick
look at their site, makes me think they've just stolen our work (and
not done a very good job of it :-)

That's great. We need all the help we can get.
The best way to start is to look at the ntfsprogs we released recently.
ntfsinfo and ntfslabel are quite simple. They open an ntfs volume,
using our ntfs library, and read some information.
If you can find a tool you'd like to work on, I can talk you through
how to get started.
