Hi all,
NTFS TNG 0.0.2 release is now available in CVS, module ntfs-driver-tng,
branch tng-0-0-2. (to check it out use: cvs update -r tng-0-0-2 in your
ntfs-driver-tng local repository/directory which you can obtain as per
instructions on the linux-ntfs.sf.net website, then apply the patch in the
patches directory to your running kernel, recompile and install new kernel
then compile the ntfs module, install it, and your are all go).
The driver now supports compressed files/directories as well as attribute
lists (but not yet attribute extents) thus it will work on medium sized
volumes.
It survives happily the test
find . -type f -exec md5sum "{}" \;
on my 1.1GiB test partition with over 16k files on it, many of which are
compressed files/directories.
Please test and report any problems/bugs back to the list. Thanks!
Note that gcc-2.96/3.x or later is required to compile this driver.
Best regards,
Anton
