Very likely the reason is that you are overflowing one of the variables in
the driver.
If this is the problem, it is fixed in recent kernels but only in the -ac
series. So I would suggest you get kernel 2.4.6 and the latest -ac patch
(at the moment it is 2.4.6-ac1). (At your option you can use 2.4.5 kernel
with any of the -ac patches for 2.4.5, as NTFS driver hasn't changed since
then.)
